KMF Investment Funds

Each Investment Account can have its own investment mix of the five funds available. Consider matching the asset allocation with the time horizon of the investments with the support of the KMF Team.​
The Balanced Fund seeks to maximize long-term investment returns, including current income and capital appreciation, while reducing short-term risk by investing in a broad mix of assets. This fund provides a simple solution for long-term legacy investments, with an asset allocation of 25% U.S. Equity Fund, 20% U.S. Equity Index Fund, 20% International Equity Fund and 35% Fixed Income.​
The Equity Fund seeks to earn long-term capital appreciation primarily from a broadly diversified portfolio of foreign and domestic funds, with a target mix of 40% U.S. Equity Fund, 30% International Equity Fund, and 30% U.S. Equity Index Fund.
The Fixed-Income Fund seeks to earn current income by investing in a broadly diversified portfolio of fixed-income instruments. ​
The Equity Index Fund seeks to attain long‐term capital appreciation from a passively managed, broadly diversified portfolio comprised primarily of equities of companies domiciled in the U.S. and traded on a regulated U.S. stock exchange
The Short Term Investment Fund seeks to provide a low-risk investment option for the preservation of capital. This funds is a competitive option for shorter term investment needs, such as renovations, capital campaign pledges, known capital needs, etc. ​

A Certificate of Participation provides the security of a fixed income type vehicle at competitive rates for 1-year and 2-year investments. Certificates of Participation are the funding source of KMF's Church Development Loan Fund.

A Certificate of Participation provides the security of a fixed income type vehicle at competitive rates for short term investments. Certificates of Participation are the funding source of the Foundation's Church Development Loan Fund providing loans to the Great Plains Conference United Methodist Churches and related institutions throughout the state of Kansas and Nebraska for the purchase of real estate, building new church starts, renovating existing buildings, large maintenance projects, operating needs and re-financing existing indebtedness. ​

Opening an Investment Fund

Step 1: Review the information on this page about the Investment Advantages offered by the Kansas Methodist Foundation and Wespath, as well as the funds KMF offers our partners for sustainable and socially responsible investing.

Step 2: Contact us to set up a time to meet either in person or via Zoom. A KMF team member can share more about our unique investment offering and help you discern a prudent option to steward and grow your resources for ministry.

Step 3: The KMF team member can help you draft the Fund Investment Application, and can send the agreement for hand signatures or use DocuSign for a quicker process. If you are mailing a new fund agreement or updating an agreement, you can send the completed agreement(s) and investment deposits to KMF.

If you would like to receive withdrawals via direct deposit or make contributions directly from your bank account, complete the Authorization Agreement for ACH.

Updating your fund and requesting a withdrawal are easy! Simply complete the fund update form or submit a withdrawal request.
